If true LOB, err I can't argue with you :)  Watching a bit of your video (I'm touched that anybody would spend an hour messing around with a Amiga style chippy penned by me), if you are going to remix (or completely redo) into a more modern version I would suspect at some point you would want to change the 'retro protracker Amiga' lead/melody single cycle sample(s) with something more Harmour, could sound a bit flat and out of place otherwise.  Between you and me I don't think it is the best thing I've ever tapped out (come to think of it I've never written a good melody in my life), but I didn't exactly spend a lot of time on it.  It is only a ditty.  However if you do 'remix', I'm sure you'd produce a very good result (better than anything I could come up with anyway in 'modern' ducking/sidechain style.)

Having said that I would've thought there are much much better examples to apply your Renoise skills to LOB?  Cantti for example recently posted a nice melody -> http://forum.renoise...te-fifth-gear/ and Bit Arts has written more 80's melodic types -> http://forum.renoise...novst-v10xrns/  Hans/ffx tends to think more melodically 'synthwavey'.  I would imagine that you'd learn more from those persons as you are already more advanced producer than me anyway LOB.

i dont plan to change nothing best case scenario ill eq your sounds a bit to make room for other leads or plucks

im gonna keep the structure since its really cool too

the melody its great ....i wouldn't been able to come up with a melody like this ..thats why ill downloaded the song ...and started messing around with the file

I'm pretty certain LOB that you could come up with a better sounding melody than that (as diligent as you are with your sound design and FX) :)

Good luck with your 'remix' channel btw :)

P.S.  Don't forget to do 'Flat Earth Society', tapped just on a QWERTY keyboard ( http://forum.renoise...-earth-society/ )
