Do you think that there is a best controller for renoise? or the best one is just the computer keyboard?
Also do you think that if you use a laptop you should use a external keyboard for the sake of preservate the laptop keyboard?
“Best” depends on what you want to do. And how much you are willing to spend. I prefer piano-style keyboards for entering melodic notes, and a grid controller for assorted other things.
For me, the things I look for are build quality; velocity/pressure-sensitive keys and pad; option to program behavior; additional controls like faders, rotaries, and so on.
im still waiting for the perfect launchpad intergration…like a step sequencer or dare i say it…piano roll… blasphemy
