Can someone explain/show me how to use Vst instrument's keyswitches in Renoise?

I just got The Odin from Solemn Tones (Kontakt version). There are multiple keyswitches (see the screenshot). How can I use these in Renoise so I can write some killer riffs?!

Perhaps through 'plugin alias' and program the keyswitches in the pattern editor on a separate track from the track containing the notes?

edit; or wait a minute, these keyswitches are situated on the lowest octave, perhaps simply set the octave to 0 and see if you can change them pressing the keyboard?

Yep, the idea would be that key-switches can be played with the keyboard. So if you can play it, you can also record it :-)

But you probably need a full "workstation" style MIDI keyboard in order to reach all those notes - a compact keyboard isn't optimal here.

Just to be clear I want to program each individual note separately in the pattern editor and not record it while playing.

That or change octave in Renoise – that always affects the incoming MIDI values for me.

Looking at the screenshot, it looks like the key switches are in the very first octave. So try setting octave to 0 and entering the notes that correspond to the key switches.
