6 Miles Ahead Of The Rest

It’s not perfect but i have no intensions to patch it up. I am already happy i’m getting the inspiration back i considered lost for a long time.
IF you do want to get an honest impression of the track, try to bear it at least for 1:50 minutes.

Sounds like game-music! :)

lovely piece of music!
lotsa atmosphere and progression. as sagosen already mentioned, reminds a lot of the type of music known from games due to the chippy-character i guess.
the sound is very full and rich which impresses during the first half of listening but lateron becomes a bit tedious because of the lack of breaks and theme-changes.

oh and nice use of delay-lama there ;)
cool stuff.

Game music genre is a bit dead imho (the genre á la Turrican is what comes to my mind in this case).
People usually shove such style music into the new age corner today.
At least i hear lots of New Age music i would rather classify as game-music.

Yeah, the delay lama plugin was just collecting dust for about a year now simply because i could not found any good use for it.
But if you combine it with some cheezy samples in the same instrument it really rocks!

The last part is just a bit dull because i left it for the method used to figure out if the groove can be adjusted without adjusting tempo, speed and groove settings and yes this is possible but it’s moreover some kind of an audial illusion caused by the riff-change of the base-line in combination with a different percussion-line.

I may improve the ending one day just to really finish it off.

Whoa that music tastes sweeet! :D Soundtrack to a good sunday.

Neat track indeed. That darn delay lama has some strange harmonics that made me hate it, but it sounds quite good in this tune.

I like the little chip-influences and the overall feel of this track is very oldschool to me. Thumbs up!
