Anyone else think it would be cool to have an option for 09XX to work within each slice, as opposed to simply selecting a slice to play.
Seems like keymaps already cover that functionality, it would be cool to be able to stretch (etc) each slice with the commands instead…
I know the Slice Render tool can take care of this but it’s a bit of a kludge…
This was possible in 2.7 so I’m assuming it still is in 2.8.
Use two effect columns on your track. In the first use 0SXX to select your slice, then in the second use 0SXX again to select where within that slice.
Actually you only need to trigger a slice with ints corresponding note. Then the 0S effect will play within this slice only.

Does the technique you posted work in 2.7 too then mxb?
When I use 2 columns of 09XX the 2nd column just overrides the 1st.
