a little one...

i just remembered to post about it…

why don’t you use some exe-packer for renoise’s exe? i’ve tested it with upx, and it works fine (unreg. version), and file size becomes something like 520 k (smaller than ft2 :) ) instead 1.7 megs, registered version also works ok, but packing ruins rendering (coz it encoded with file content i guess), but i think it’s not a prob for you. the main thing is i’m using upx few years already, and it’s perfect, i’ve packed many many exe and dll, and it gave me many many free megs on my hdd.

We know of upx…

Well… the exe compression is not a big gain from 1.7 mb to 500 kb.
but try compressing your songs folder and see that it would be much more important. we plan OGG for samples. this will reduce something
like 100 mb songs dir to 20-30 that is much better don’t you agree?

actually, i’ve already asked here about ogg packing in rni/rns. and as i said using upx is a little suggestion… just a thought…

and btw, another thought, how about to change ctrl + 9 = editstep>16 (10 hex)? i mean i don’t think much of peeps use 9 in editstep, i think it could be better to use ctrl + 9 button for 16 editstep.
