Adjust volumes of instruments

-4.5dB across all instruments (this affects the plugins too)
it also has protection on going below.
there’s also a separate function for -4.5dB across all sampleslots in all instruments

let me know if you need a dialog with a slider for deciding what it should be

Very nice! But indeed it’s required to adjust the volume precisely, so a slider or something else is essential.

Well There’s the screenshot above of the Global instrument volume changer

I thought you could add a slider but didn’t already do it. All right, I’ll check it out. Thanks! :+1:

Gonna take me a while to upload it. Its not in renoise tools yet.

there, it’s in. Paketti | Renoise

if you need a “all samples down by slider value” addition to the global volume dialog, i’ll add it.

you’ll find it at

Yes, that would be nice. So atm the slider doesn’t affect samples, too?
How do you define “instrument” in this case? VSTi and/or xrni?

It could take a little while until I can test it to give some further feedback. Just found out yesterday that parts of my “music computer” need to be exchanged. Until then I probably cannot use it.

global instrument volume will affect this for each and every instrument in the song. including instruments with samples, slices and plugins. Renoise defines the instrument volume to be this.

as for the other:

global sample volume will affect the volume for each and every instrument, with samples and slices.

so here’s a dialog that will do global instrument volume or global sample volume.
i also tweaked the namings for better discoverability, and added the dialog to shortcuts + midimappings.
i’ll update the renoise tool.
