It annoys me that Renoise obeys user’s keyboard shortcuts also while using external editor. Using some VST’s requires some keys and sometimes that keys are same than in Renoise. Track may start playing or recording or track DSP may disappear. Yes, I could pass the problem if I remove specific keys from settings, but the best solution would be that Renoise could stop doing things for keys while using external editor; lose focus. Instrument external editors have auto suspend. That feature may be also in program itself and also in track DSPs.
have you checked the “enable keyboard” checkbox in the lower left corner of the VST window?

If youre not using an external midi keyboard, its important to be able to play vsti’s with the computer keyboard while youre editing the vsti. Its also nice to be able to start/stop etc.
cortex, what Torava asks for is already implemented (see my above post) and it is also possible to enable/disable it at will, so no problem here.
Yeah, right. Thanks.

…or something like “exclusive keyboard input”…
It was a sort of mysterious checkbox for me until i read you post!
