when I try to set the keyboard focus nothing happens. I looked it up and the previous solution was to turn on the override window manager shortcuts setting but no go. Any suggestions?
Which window manager are you using? Probably it grabs away Alt-presses to do something with windows on Alt-clicks.
use middle mouse button instead
