Oftenly the preview/auto-preview just won’t work.

Yep that’s mine, I was going to link it here as well.
Problem solved.
I read they attempt to do something about it, i put the title into pending for now instead of solved.
Disabling “auto-suspending” in Renoise for the plugin should do the trick.
