It’s a nice song, i was engaged. Piano could do with more dynamic playing, for sure. It’s a nice melody that needs some expression. I think i am very confused about the proper definition of ‘dubstep’ though? Sounds like late 70s prog over 90s style electro beats.

Good point about the piano. Is it pretty flat. I can’t automate velocity with the plugin I used, though… And I have all the piano stuff on one track, so volume is kinda all or nothing. So maybe the piano should be spread across different tracks? I’ll be sure to think of that in the future.
As for the genre, I’m not really sure to be honest. 
It feels like Dubstep to me because of the beat (sort of minimalist kick and hard snare combo) and the underlying bass rumble (though admittedly there isn’t as much bass as I was hoping…not sure what frequencies I need to be hitting there). But true, it has heavy progressive influence, and is a bit fast for Dubstep.
