Automateable Phrase LPB

+1 from me too!

At the moment I copy the phrase to a new slot and set it to a new lpb, then trigger the phrases as desired, but this is a lot of work and tricky to manage with lots of variations. Automating the lpb of the active phrase with an fx command would be great!

I’d also like the ability to record directly into the phrases.

Cool thanks! :slightly_smiling_face:

It doesn’t solve the automation of lpb values within a single phrase which would be ideal, but this does make the method I described previously much easier / more fun to manage. Also throwing an LFO in to control the phrase selection is a lot of fun!

Yeah, totally. I like to throw a random lfo on the phrase for generative goodness.

It would (also) be excellent if we could automate lpb per phrase :+1:

Almost 10 years on and it would still be cool if this could be assigned to a macro… :upside_down_face:

Now that phrase scripting (pattrns) has mappeable parameters in 3.5 we are somewhat close (i.e: Bouncing Ball preset) I wish image was assignable to a macro or we got support for ZL command in phrases :smiling_face_with_tear: (or maybe a new fx command so it doesn’t interfere with master ZL?) scripting is kinda limited (no fx commands etc).

Not that I don’t want it, but you can basically recreate similar and more control in the phrase script assigning parameter inputs.

That’s a nice idea, but could go even further, once midi vst fx per track was available. I actually build myself a little shuffle device in Bitwig, which simply LFOs (square wave) the note midi delay, so you have non-destructive shuffle per track.

oh hello! this sounds promising. is it possible to control the parameters from the pattern editor?
via automation or otherwise?

edit - oh it’s just a case of macro-ing the parameter. bosh!

theres still no straightforward lpb control though right? more a case of shifting the notes around on a fixed lpb?
