Automation Of Post Dsp Volume?

question…either i’m really stupid and am missing something obvious…or…damn…

i’m looking for a way to automate the volume coming out at the end of a dsp chain. for example, if i were to take a snare hit, put a reverb effect on it with a huge tail, and then i wanted to quickly chop the volume of the tail in and out, how is that done? simply automating the pre-dsp chain fader does nothing for the reverb…i can chop the reverb easily by just using the xF00 command to turn the reverb off, but that doesn’t solve my problem if i want to have a chopping effect…

this has to be something people would need…

is the only solution to render the reverb tail to a sample and then just chop that?

if i can figure this out cool, but if not, is there anyone else around here that would like to see standard automation of the post-dsp faders?

…how do you do a fade out if you have delays and stuff?

edit: i just realized that automating the master track is somewhat of a solution…but still, that is somewhat limiting in a sense…

Add a gainer, the post-dsp faders cannot be automated (yet?)

thanks dude.

…now…on to find something else wrong with renoise…there has to be something. this program is too good to be true…

Muahaha… despair and insanity await you!

There was a way to sort of automate the post volume using the LFO device but this has been ‘fixed’ as well. all possibilities to somehow control the postfader using a different device have been removed on purpose.
The post fader was not meant to be automated but has been added for finalisation of your mix, so no automation or LFO trickery.
