I am wanting the end of one of my songs to slow down before finishing. Is there a way of doing this with the automation window, rather than slow the song down step by step?

no, there is not, though some people already asked for an automation for BPM values, so probably this will be implemented in next versions.
But believe me (I make A LOT of tempo changes): with a bit of copy&paste, this is not really a big timeconsuming task

In the advanced edit, you can interpolate between start and end speed. That may help out a bit.
As a side note: now you have 1977 posts, which is my birth date
