I’ve recently installed the OS from scratch, but my VST folder was on another partition, so I have a mixture of DLL files from reinstalled VST instruments, and DLL files from dead ones.
ReNoise keeps on scnanning the dead ones, giving me errors each time on startup. There should be a “bad plug” recognition, but doens’t seem to be working correctly. Does anyone knoe why?
Did you restore a Renoise preference file or a startup song that contains a setting that the plugin might be verfied in the past as OK? Weird situation though…
I had a problem when I installed Renoise on my general partition and had to split my VSTs so any that were just DLLs went in one folder, and others in a different one otherwise Renoise would hang every time on startup trying to scan this folder.
yeah. Perhaps it could be done in a way like the plug-in enabler (emagic). Or better a vst-config.ini or similiar where you can disable by changing the value =0. (Couldn`t that be done using xml?)
