The download speed is fine here. I was able to download my registered copy of Renoise in about 15-20 seconds.
Or he is using a download-manager. They have different side-effects on an encrypted page. One of those is that the download speed is negatively affected. e.g.: The “Downloadthemall” plugin of Firefox does work with backstage but the speed-improvement mechanisms it uses are affecting the transport in the opposite manner than meant.
downloaded all 2.6 beta’s, the RC’s and the final version, all within 30secs. must be your own connection.
I also downloaded the 2.6 final sensibly slower than usual. Other servers were OK. Perhaps the server was slower for only some locations?
or the final was downloaded by more people than the rc’s and beta’s ?
