Hi, why not add a set of commands in sample editor (near the pencil icon) for drawing sample like sin, cos, tri, saw, squ, pulse, random, line, curve…

There are several tools for that, and you could just load a sample.
But why just not use the draw tool and soften the result, it’s not as ugly as it seems.
