Did like you it at the first listen?
Indeed Goodfellas together with SKD SRD and Lowlands are my favs.
Yes! Actually, greatest album evar. But is it from this decennium? I thought the original CD-R is from 1998 or something… re-relased on Khavi later… Now amongst the best there is. Actually this album is all I need on my island.
What magazines covers IDM, drill’n bass etc? I’ve never found any where I live!

is that too many for a desert island?
I sure hope there’s a stereo on that island…
Come to think of it… when it’s deserted, how do we get power?
Oh! And to spoil the fun some more, I think it’d be complete and utter soulbreaking torture to slowly and painfully die of infections, starvation and dehydration while the stereo, which you can’t reach anymore at this point (and is miraculously powered by the divine forces of all that is well and wealthy), is repeatedly playing your favourite music over and over and over and over and over again, leaving your sick, exhausted and brokn mind stuck in an intra-perspective nightmare and wishing you were dead, or that you had stayed home that christmas of 2009.
Actually, I think I’d take “Tom Waits - Blue Valentine” with me.
I know this was already decided it was burial, but Boxcutter is also dead rad with a B
don’t forget bass clef!
… oh, wait…
Very subjective area this one. Here are some personal highlight albums for me, since 2000:
Fovea Hex - Neither Speak Nor Remain Silent (full box set)
Burial - Burial
Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero (or Still)
Devin Townsend - Ziltoid The Omniscient
Kate Bush - Ariel
Saul Williams - The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust
Peter Gabriel - Up
Aphex Twin - Drukqs (or Chosen Lords)
Tool - Lateralis
Radiohead - Kid A
David Bowie - Reality
Gotye - Like Drawing Blood
And of course I’ve been very inspired by tracking scene music of the last 10 years, notably stuff by Mick Rippon, Alex Strain, Hunz, distance, and Xerxes.
I don’t listen only this kind of music
But you can certainly find a webzine.
This is my list, from Rock & Roll to IDM and between. (2000-2009):
The White Stripes-Elephant (the same old blues again, but i like it)
Radiohead- Kid A and the last album, In rainbows
Aphex Twin- Drukqs (my favorite aphex album)

Blue Valentine, I dont have that one. But Mule variations, Rain Dogs, Real Gone and the triple cd (dont remember the name) are all great.
And the guy recommended in this thread, Chad VanGaalen, very nice!
I recall mr. Virta himself sharing some demos of the album at a finnish forum (platinum.ac) somewhere around 2003 or so, but I don’t really know when he did the CD-r release. One of my friends has that particular cd btw, tried to make him sell it to me but he wouldn’t - I WONDER WHY!
