danoise is right, it depends on what you want to achieve

and it’s important to keep in mind that renoise does nowhere say it would be a synth, and by saying “bitwigs synth is aliasing free” i did wrong to renoise and it’s developers. i know that. it was more like making fun.

noone would use one single cycle and play it at higher octaves and call it “a synth”, a good software synthesizer. it’s just what you can do with a tracker. none of the interpolators will ever do to the transitions what the blep and blam algos and oversampling and wave tables would do. (and using multi-samples as such is a way, but … it’s not really made for it.)

there’s no concept in renoise to try to be a synthesizer, and i should not write as if the developers would have advertised it as such.
