BPM does not change after loading a song (Linux)

As the title indicates… I’ll save a song and it keeps whatever BPM value there was before it was loaded. I checked a few Song.xml files and noticed that the value in

<MasterTrackMixerDevice>
    <BpmAutomator>
        <Value>

has been saved as the correct BPM.

So it’s possible that this value is not being loaded?

I have disabled all my tools, but that did not seem to make a difference.

I am using Arch Linux and a licensed version of Renoise-3.0.1. If anyone has ideas on what I should try next to resolve the issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

Wonder if you’re having the same problem with Jack taking over the BPM?

Yes, that was it! Thank you.

In this case, it is not an override of any value in jack transport. It is the random BPM generated by Renoise itself that takes over when jack transport is enabled.

jack transport by itself has nothing to do in this problem. Enabling jack transport confuses Renoise internally. The value does not come from jack transport. This is what I have seen.

I can submit a formal step-by-step test report along with a sample to test with, if that makes it clearer than plain, discussional, text.
