It looks like a feature was suggested here, and I was wondering if it was now possible to bypass phrases for a given instrument.
For example, I have phrases built for a Drum set that I’m using in a track, but now and then I want to be able to trigger the sounds rather than the phrases themselves (e.g. Crash cymbals) rather than having to ‘build a new phrase for every occasion’.

I used instrument aliases as workaround. Works fine. Instrument slot 1 is your instrument without phrases and instrument slot 2 is using alias of slot 1 with phrase.
For that use the Zxx parameter.

Thanks toimp! I can see why that’s a handy method too - just writing an idea outside of the core of the music…something that’s never going to be repeated. I’ll try that option as well
