I’m trying to assign a midi device (korg nanokontrol) to play a sample when I hit a button. I looked through the manual and midi map list and could not find it. So yes my controller has buttons, I want to be able to use them like a keyboard.
(p.s.) I’m looking for a way to use bare foot as the bass drum on the midi controller buttons (with a little modified pedal), and my hands on the keyboard for snare, hi-hats, etc.
If anyone knows how to setup a typical midi controller keyboard with keys that would probably answer my question.
my solution right now is to tape the mouse to the ground with the cursor hovering over the zoomed in on the note, then use my big toe to hit the bass drum.
You should be able to play an Instrument with your keyboard or pads.
You will probably need to load all your drums into the same instrument and hit Generate Drumkit and then quite possibly find and move the sample positions until the correspond to your pads.
Haven’t looked at the new MIDI where you can assign a different controller/channel to a different instrument but I think the basic mode of playing whichever instrument is selected still exists too (Master mode?)
