Can The Korg Nanocontrol Work With Renoise Mixer?

Hello… Loving Renoise demo so far. Works great on my old PowerPC Mac laptop. I’m going travelling next year and needed something that was lightweight to work on my laptop. I used to use Octamed on the Amiga, and Renoise reminds me of it alot. There new Korg NanoControl USB thingy has come out and I wonder, is it possible to make it work with the Renoise mixer?

If so, how is it done exactly?

Cheers!

I think you don’t have to worry about that, 169 MIDI CC messages are more than plenty for basic mixing, then you can as well control faders for various effects and meta devices that control plugins and other midi devices.

I wonder if the price will be nano as well…

And you can’t go wrong.

And the Play, Record, etc. buttons (i.e. the transport section) in Renoise can be linked to that controller too?

Assign the same device in the “MIDI Clock Slave”, though i don’t know if the device also is capable of sending out sequencer positions (songpositions) or whether the transport button send true SPP and start/stop commands. I assume it does, but i cannot guarantee that.
The “Record” will probably not work as Renoise does not respond to a “Record” transport message in MIDI.
But if you press Escape in advance to turn on record mode, “Play” will suffice as well.
