trigger notes within a script?

I’ve been tinkering around with Pure Data and renoise linked with midiyoke to do some generative stuff using the nice sampled instruments and playing along with some pre composed tracks… but i’ve hit on the idea that it might be simpler if i could just code my algorithms within renoise.

so, is it possible to get a script to trigger generative notes as a song plays… and where would i look for the documentation on that

You can trigger notes through OSC, but you then also have to enable the OSC server in the Preferences.
Here’s one script that does this:
