Can't drag-and-drop FL Studio ".wav" samples into Redux / Renoise, when renaming from .wav to .ogg samples load ok

Hi gang.

When trying to drag-and-drop FL Studio factory content into Redux sample editor I get a following message after a brief pause:

Media foundation error: no decoder installed which can handle the given file, or decoding failed (internal error: ‘stream configuration failed [5212]’)

I’ve tried to drag-and-drop samples from Windows 10 Explorer - same result

I have also tried to load FL Studio samples into Renoise - same result.

When trying to open those files with Windows’ Media Player - I get the same error code number - 0xC00D5212.

My guess is Renoise/Redux can’t play OGG encoded .wav files. Will installing system-wide drivers solve the issue? How can it be done?

Cheers,

Roman

ive had the same issue before in Renoise when trying to access my old Packs folder, i guess IL doesn’t want us using their samples in other software

Ok, when renaming file extension from .wav to .ogg, samples load ok. What’s going on??? I would really prefer if the samples drop into Redux without hassle of renaming them.
