Catch External Numpad Keys Differently

Hi,

I would like to try and have an external (USB) NumPad send different keys to Renoise than the numpad that’s on my normal pc keyboard. This so I would have more keyboard ‘room’ for play/loop/stop/rec etc even though I don’t have money for a bigger/decent keyboard with transport controls. If anybody knows about a direction or solution for this, either under windows xp or linux (I know it should be possible!), I would really like to know.

You can try, but i suspect the external keypad would not be sending any different scancodes than the one does on your regular keyboard.
Unless you can define that numpad as a different language keyboard (e.g. setting it to Japanese) parallel to your current main keyboard, but i have never tried this so i guess google is your best friend here.
