I’ve been trying figure why this is the way it is and have come up empty. The value range runs from 0 to 4095, and a larger value means it takes less time to fade out. 
Surely this would be more meaningful if it represented time in the same way as the Release property of the AHDSR? This would also allow it to be usefully affected by the time/beat Sync option.
