Is there a way to make my 2.1 .xrns compatible with 2.0? E.g. save it as a 2.0 xrns?
Thanks in advance .

Why would you want to?
I’d rather have answers in this topic than questions, but if you must know: I am using a different version than a friend of mine is using and for certain reasons he cannot upgrade.
Tell him how cheap it is.
Anyone here who does have an answer?
If there’s a way it’d be through editing the XML file inside the xrns (zip) but don’t complain when it doesn’t work.
Renoise major version changes are almost always not backward compatible; you should probably be able to set up a MIDI connection between a Renoise 2.1 and a Renoise 2.0 instance so that playing on 2.1 will record on 2.0, then save all instruments from 2.1 and load them into 2.0.
I suggest you install an older version for collaboration purposes, because obviously you can’t use new features in an older version.
MichaelTimo: Or he could use the demo-version of 2.1. He won’t be able to render or create samples out of patterns, but you could still collaborate together.
Alrighty, thanks for the replies!
