Copy/pasting "sample" Tracks - As Efficiently As Possible Fo

Hi all,

I’m wondering is the a more efficient way of copying one track to another to be layered with another sample instrument. I right click and copy from one track and paste to another and obviously the INS# is written in to new pasted track. Now I have to manually write in the new INS# I want this to trigger. Its a tad laborious.

Is this the only way to do such things or have I missed something’s somewhere?

Thanks for your time,
Ste

You can use the Advanced Edit features for that and swap or remap instrument numbers:

Just set the src. instr. to the instrument number that is behind the note(s) in the track or selection the change the Dest. Instr. to the instrument number you want all references to change to in that track.

Also take care that you have set the proper option-mode to which the action should apply:

Thanks again Vv

Fountain of knowledge for this newbie! ;>

It is always easier for the one who wrote the manual to dig this up quickly.
I would recommend anyone writing his / her own manual for Renoise… you would be surprised what functionality you detect around…
