Creating Multi Samples Instruments

hi,
I was wondering, is there a way, when creating a renoise instrument with several samples, to assign a different volume/etc enveloppe for each sample within this instrument ?

If not this would be a great feature.

it is currently not possible, as of version 2.5

you could for example create the desired envelope for a sample, then go to the pattern editor and write a note which is inside the sample range and use the “render to instrument” feature in order to create a new sample which uses that envelope, then repeat the process for each sample.

apart from the obvious uncomfort of this option, it also has two major drawbacks:

1. it is not usable if you want to use sustain and/or loops inside your envelope
2. the resulting “enveloped” sample will not have a proper envelope, so changing playing it at different notes and BPM’s will easily produce unwanted results

I don’t mind editing samples manually, i’ve been doing it this way since the beginning. But this time I wanted to use loops and sustain… lol

Maybe in 2.6 …
