Hi guys!
I’m Renoise beginner, came from Cubase.
I wonder if there is some TimeWarp-like stuff in Renoise.
And also, is there a hotkey for deleting a line in pattern editor, the whole line to make all others get 1 line higher up?
thanks,
G.

Yes, there is such a feature, this is the tempo effect command ZTxx
For the shortcuts go to Help>List Keyboard Shortcuts menu in the program.
Thanks a lot! ![]()
A description of what it does would have been useful. If it wasn’t for your reply my first guess would have been time-stretching, rather than adjusting song tempo to match the groove of another piece of music. A lot harder to do it by hand with tempo changes that creating a grid though!
There are commands for Deleting and Inserting lines. Check out Preferences → Keys: Pattern Editor → Insert/Delete section
You have three main option:
Insert/Delete line in Track - Insert/Backspace
Insert/Delete line in Note Column - Shift+Ctrl+Insert/Shift+Ctrl+Delete (Note it’s delete and not backspace for this one, which seems a little strange to me so I switched it.)
Insert/Delete line in whole Pattern - Not assigned by default. Shift+Alt+Del/Backsapce are free and seem intelligent choices though.
I agree, that would be hard without the seeing the waveshape. That is where the track scopes could come greatly in handy, if that they weren’t so fast.
