I’m working lately with Renoise and my first impression is superb. I allready started to make tracks. However, when i load a sample (wav) and play it, there a delay of almost a second before i can hear the sample. Is there a setting i should change or what?

The delay that you hear is the audiolatency. You can adjust it in the Config/Audio tab.
i used to get this problem - i thought i still did, but i just checked and nope
often if i loaded a sample or instrument, i COULD play a note with it as soon as it loaded, but there was a high chance that the note would cut off abruptly. usually it was around a second before i could safely play the sample
but it’s gone now
