if you listen to daftpunk/modjo or that kind of music, they often have some melody sample playing and under it they kinda extracted and enhanced the original bassline (so they can close the filter on the melody leaving only the bass. standard house-stuff).
however, I somehow cant do this, I spent hours with a bandpass filter and simply cant filter the bassline out. is there any trick to do this ? it drives me mad because either the bassline is getting thin or I get parts of the drums in there (bottom of the snare and basedrum) …
