I’d love some production on this, something to fit the mood (sad, tender, melodic, gentle, maybe some pianos or strings or something).
I post it here, hoping that different people might try to make it into something I like, something that fits what I have in mind. Anybody want to try?
I have so many songs in my head that only one producer can’t keep up with me, so I’ll post even more songs on the forum like this, hoping to finish as many songs as possible.
Oh, and I feel better now, music is my therapy, my way of getting my emotions out of my head and deal with them.
Well… I cried when I heard it. I really love this song (of course) as it is, kind of like that acapella song by Alanis Morisette I can’t remember what’s called right now.
Too bad my creativity and productivity is down to a minimum these days, I really want to produce more with Henriette but hearing her sing to other productions give more than enough joy for me.
I’m sure I could figure this out by myself, but maybe you could make this a little easier for us…did you sing this to any specific chord progression? Somebody playing guitar maybe?
Sorry, i was to depressed to play on the piano yesterday
I understand the problem when its only a vokal. I am trying to lay down som fitting chords You will get them later with a new recording of the vokal in kristal.
I hope it will make this much easier.
Have a nice day
i actually love to write remixes not knowing the original song i have wrote different songs that way… its fun to listen afterwards what was the original mix…
Awesome filtered piano (or harp?), lovely layers in general, neat bassline. For the critique; I want to hear more!
But seriously, only complain I have is in the beat; You’ve added a snare to the loop you’re using (if it’s a loop) that doesn’t fit in half the time, and I mean half the time because it repeats itself twice in the loop; don’t fitting first time (0:26), perfect second time (0:27,5).
I’m pretty sure I could have explained this easier, but what the heck.
Oh, and if you put the song in “normal mode” (as opposed to filtered) at the first snare hit at 0:21 in stead of when the loop starts I think it would be cool.
I hear what you’re saying about the off-timed snare. That’s actually on purpose, but I’ll try to nudge it back to make it sound a little cleaner.
And no…the beats aren’t loops. Well…they are sort of. I use chopped up live breaks in my music. So, in this song, I think I used 3 different breaks that are chopped up and rearranged, as well as one-hit drums layered over them with different effects on each break. I do that kind of stuff for a lot of my songs. I was kind of going for that Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood type sound for the break here…give it kind of a earthy lowfi feel.
I’ll try dropping in the track on that earlier snare like you suggest as well.
