…don’t know if this has been suggested before, but saving a sample outside of a song is as far as i know currently not possible. Unpacking the zipfile after saving the song to get to a sample is too cumbersome. So how about simply drag&drop a sample from the instrumentslot to the samplebrowser? Apologies if this beating a dead horse, or dragging old cows from the stream
What do you mean? Check the disk op/browser in the top middle part of the renoise gui, checkmark ‘sample’ , then press the disk icon to save (after you maybe have selected another folder and/or renamed the sample). Voilá…or are you talking about something else?
Dragging and dropping tho would be a nice addition to this.
…aha never too old to learn
indeed, maybe the disc icon/combination with selecting song/sample/instr etc is not the most intuitive way for saving since this question comes up once in a while… does the new generation kids even know what the disk icon represents?
Maybe some extra entries in the ‘file’ tab (top left of screen), like ‘save sample’, ‘save instrument’ could solve this?
