Drawing Sample

Hey people!

I’m just wondering if it is me, or is Renoise lacking (as I see it) the possibility to draw your own samples. I remeber those good old days of chiptune making in FT2 and I’d just love to be able to draw draw draw away my own samples.

Have I missed something?

Slightly off-topic but this topic made me think of this CMI Fairlight-clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOP1IKdc4UI

Man! That is awesome! Interpolating from segment 1 to segment 128! That completely rocked! :drummer:

Currently it is impossible to hand-draw in sample editor in renoise unfortunately, also it lacks generating the primary waveforms (sine, triangle, sawtooth, pulse, noise) which would be very helpful, and of course this is discussed before in this forum.

Was just looking for this feature too in the Renoise 1.8. Hope this will be implemented (as it was in the ft2)… It’s propably the best and only tool to fix samples which have snaps and crackles.

+1

  • being able to edit both channels out of a stereo sample.
    edit: seperately :)

Yes!

+1 to this entire thread, AND

Stereo mix paste capabilities so that we can paste one sample chunk over another and have Renoise mix them together based on %s we provide for each channel… fading optional :P

+1 for sample drawing

I vote for sample drawing too. That would really complete the sample editor (which is already great and fast).

That wave interpolation feature from the Fairlight would be sweet too, but maybe that belongs in plugin or something.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaah! :yeah: Let’s unite Renoise & WaveLab! :drummer:

+1
