Either way, this is just a remnant of the cold war. Old CIA agents who can’t let go of the past and posts spam under fake russian adresses to revive their enemies in the east.
i’ve seen a ZX-Spectrum from the early eighties (that has been used to program PLC’s for a launchpanel) in a brandless case but with the cyrillic charset (also own fabricat keyboard). One of our Focus members brought it to the X-2004.
Never seen so many C64 vets together. (Apart from BIT meetings)
When i was in Russia in midst 2001 lots of people had a high-end pc running XP.
It’s not Arabia where most people still live in tents and drive their goats.
Haha!! Learn Albanian and watch development of the countries in the world a little. I live in St.-Petersburg / Russia. At me a computer 10 years. All began with zx-spectrum) Now at me p4-3.2 GHz/2 Gb memories / 2 HDD on 200 gb/…
And I by the way registered user Renoise. If you have not understood, I have bought him.
And STILL to YOU FOR STATISTICS. Now at 9 from 10 families in Russia there are computers. And it “P4”. And still. It not advertising of a site and that you have precisely understood, that at Russian not only is computers, but they on them also do something can. It is a site of firm in which I work as the sound producer (I one of founders). www.nevosoft.ru, www.nevosoft.com So learn Albanian!!! haha…
One thing i could say in return:learn english. I mean, you can work around with computers for a long time and have fast DSL internet around (yes, i know it’s still a lot more expensive than most other countries in the west, but i know it exists), but controlling the most common world-language to communicate with the largest internet community in the world is still pretty terrible for most Russians.
the language problem is common in big countries. cause people can do almost anything in their native language. In small countries, on the other hand, people usually speak several languages with no problem…
Yeah, but this is the thing with most large countries…
You can get far with French, Spanish, German, Russian and Arabian.
If you know those languages, you can make yourself understandable almost everywhere.
Wether this will be appreciated is a different thing (speaking Russian in Poland will be understood, but not every person there wants to speak Russian to you, not every person there wants to speak German to you either.)
[irony]
Yes. Russians have no bancs, Russians have no computers, Russians have massive problems with the English language and Russians are evil communists who eat up children. Oh, and Arabians. Arabians live in tents somewhere in the deserts, did you know? I even heard, most terrorists are Arabians. Or was it Irakis? Where is that acutally? Ah, who cares, vote for Bush.
[/irony]
Most russians are, in all likelyhood, very cool and likeable, with good computer skills and an unwillingness to act on sick, evil inklings that do very little to add to a public message board. If you want to vote Bush, then by all means, please vote for Bush. You’re entitled, and I’m not going to ridicule your decision. And yes, the greater portion of terrorists seem to be arabian, or rather islamic, which doesn’t warrant negativity towards all arabs or islamists, but does raise valid questions about whether some part of their population is more prone to it, compared to other populations, and why. These are very probable facts, and all because of some former CIA agent tinkering with a free russian mail account.
