Hi there yesterday I downloaded the file formats tool drag and drop into Renoise but I get a notification say fileformats is disabled because it’s not compatible with this version of Renoise. I downloaded the latest version of fileformats and I’m running Renoise 3.4 on mac. All the other tools installed and working fine. I just don’t know what else to do, has anyone else experienced this?
It is an older tool, not supported by the newest version of Renoise you have installed as the notice states. Sometimes tools are abandoned, newer versions of Renoise might have changes under the hood that stop compatibility. It will try and automatically update, but in this case the changes are not supported.
I think the paketti tool might have you covered, though it is a big tool with a lot more to it then just fileformats;

Just open manifest file and change Api version from 3 to 6.
Then enable tool from Tool Browser.
The tool will then register it normally, but I don’t know if it will work, I don’t have any samples other than .wav

hi, i can tell you that the REX import has been greatly improved within Paketti, and it also introduces RX2 import, SF2 import, PTI import for Polyend Tracker users, OT import for Octatrack users…
.IFF / .8svx / .16sv import
and .IFF, .PTI, .OT export
the rest of the File Formats is slowly being updated and ingested into Paketti. if there’s a specific format you must have right now, please let me know and i’ll work it in.
