I just finished my first track using ReNoise. It mixes original sax recordings with synths from Aspect VST.
I would love to hear what folks think and any advice for improving the song.
I was hoping for a nice dance beat after the build up. But it didn’t come.
Thanks for listening. Once you said that, I heard the need. Now if only I knew how to make a dance-able beat
I really like it as it is. It’s kind of a ragtime/electro-industrial mixture that sounds very new and interesting. As such, I don’t think adding a dance-able beat is really necessary.
Thanks. A lot of the style came from the saxophone player that I recorded. He is a really good jazz musician so I took his performance and then chopped up the samples. I did just finish a “remix” with more breaks and beats to compare and contrast. The mix isn’t as clean, but the basic idea comes across.
Nice sample handling.
I prefered the newer version (OortCloud2-Breaks&Beats).
I prefer the breaks&beats edit and I like the sax and the way you glitched/retriggered it, the filter sweep that starts @ 1:39 is effective, i have to agree tho with 1 of the above posters the drop (drums especially ) never came after a great build up, but you ill get there im sure of it
