I just thought about the reason why I’m still instinctively pushing the wrong shift/alt/ctrl key when editing in Renoise. As I’m left-handed, I hold the mouse to the left of the keyboard and I don’t tend to use the same hand to hold down those keys, and so many other programs use the same combinations for those basic cut, copy, paste functions etc. So I’m wondering if there could be a config made up for us ‘lefties’, perhaps even asking the user upon install?
personally, I’m left-handed but never had such a problem. I use the mouse with the left hand, but can use it with the right hand with no problems
You’re right about that, as it’s often the case that lefties are at least slightly ambidextrous. I guess I could use it the other way too, but with everything so easily redefineable I just thought it might be reasonably easy to implement
