Hey!
It would be nice if you could group instruments in renoise, - have a main instrument,
in which you could layer more VSTis, or xrnis, so you could input one note from the main instrument,
and all the subinstruments would play with it - very usefull for layering sounds
i personally think that creating a powerfull “main instrument” would be a new major step for renoise
In the ‘MIDI Input’ tab of the ‘Instrument settings’ you can select the same midi controller for each instrument and assign the instruments to different tracks, this way you can control/record multiple instruments at the same time in different tracks.
I strongly agree with B-complex. Instrument doubling is very important to many.
(Using the same midi input on different instruments only works with midi, and easily stacks up too many tracks)
