This is a demo track for a new project I’m working on.
Most of this was composed over the weekend, and although it’s not fully polished yet, I still wanted to share it.
I’ve been really focusing on ambient soundscapes for the past few months or so, I’ve been trying to incorporate an oceanic theme into this project. This song doesn’t quite relay that theme as well as some of my other works, but regardless, here it is. (I still have a long way to go on learning proper mixing. :[)
Nice vibe here. Drums could do with some groove variation. There’s some confusion going on with the low end sounds so maybe get deep in there and solo those sounds to see what you can do without and keep the essentials.
Yeah feeling a bit static and repetitive. Beautiful space to be in though.
Definitely lacks variation right now. I’m trying to learn the gentle art of limited melodic evolution with spacious sounds…while still keeping it interesting for the duration.
