Help With Program Change In Sfz+

I wonder if anyone else has run into this problem, or have a suggestion for how to fix this:

Using SFZ+ (I’m open to suggestions for alternatives too, except Phenome that is just too buggy), I can in certain cases not change to certain programs in a loaded soundfont.

Example:

  1. I load Guitar_set.sf2 into SFZ, and it has programs 1,3,4 and 6: SteelGuitar, Clean_Vibrato, Spanish, Lead.
  2. I load the instrument MIDI control DSP and select program change.
  3. Using the program change function, SFZ+ nicely switch between 1, 2 (empty),3,4,5(empty)and…on six it will just display empty, and nothing can be played. Switching to program 6 manually in SFZ+ works just fine.

I realise I can work around this by loading another instance of SFZ+, but I’d rather solve this than walk around it, so if anyone has any suggestions, I’m all ears!

Might be a hickup in SFZ where it seems to fail in summing up available programs for itself? What if you tried to change to program 7?
