like on a conventional DJ mixer a button next to mute an off buttons in mixer view for pre-hear on headphone.
Is it not great adding this because as i have ongoing music over the speakers from Renoise from Track 1, i want the other track i’m editing pre-hear on headphone for EQing and mix the both tracks like DJ’ing. i don’t have any side hardware to do it like that, and even for beginners this adds very much opportunities to tune there editing skills.
I recommend changing the output. This can be done with Paketti.

Add a send device to the tracks that need a cue
set it to bypass
Bind some keys to it
Create a return track , route toward it , set its output to headphone.
hi @Dannynnad - do you have multiple stereo outputs on your soundcard? & some sort of mixer app for the soundcard, so you can hear both 1-2 out going to PA and also 3-4 that is the “Cue” / “Prehear”?
if so, i can have a look at doing this kind of stuff. it should be simple. just switching between 1-2 and 3-4, activating pre-hear (to get to 3-4) - maybe a setting for “what’s the prehear channel”, etc.
should be simple.
