Hovering the mouse over the current automation envelope in the Automation Pane seems to disable snapping when using the commands “Move to Previous/Next Line” ( and ).
So the cursor goes from moving by lines (when the mouse is somewhere else), to moving at the highest resolution (“ticks”, I think?). i.e. sloooowly.
To reproduce:
- In a new song, focus the automation pane.
- Make sure Snapping is enabled.
- Make sure the mouse is NOT hovering over the actual current automation grid.
- Move the cursor left and right with the keyboard. It should move by the snap setting (grid, lines, or beats).
- Now hover the mouse over the current automation grid.
- Move the cursor left and right with the keyboard.
- The cursor should now move VERY SLOWLY, the mouse’s location seeming to have disabled snapping.
Is this a bug or a feature?
