you know the ones i mean, it’s a good idea but because i’m not used those frame thing it slows my work-flow down.
You mean the target frames that defines the keyboard focus?
Well, you can’t turn it off, but it will only confuse you more if you could turn it off since you then have no idea what local area will have keyboard focus.
For instance, go to the mixer or instrument envelop view and try to use some of the previously known global keys (like changing instruments or changing arranger sequences) you will notice they don’t work anymore on those locations.
You can’t browse the pattern if you are in the pattern sequencer and that sort of thing…
aha! thanks!
unfortunately it doesnt work all time, if i lock this button to have focus on pattern edit and click with mouse in automationedit and draw a new point/line i often lose keyboard focus i have to click in pattern to get the focus back
maybe its worth to mention in the bug area?
The lock focus should actually prevent moving focus to any other area by using the mouse. However when you ctrl-tab or ctrl-shift-tab to another area:that does work and this is done intensional.
btw… also clicking the mousewheel will force focus to area.
Yups i forgot to tell.
And some specific keyboard attentional handling (text-fields or value fields) also pull focus on pattern editor area away.
