that made me just try 999 bpm and 256 lpb, but it crashed my renoise because it used up too much cpu 
to have the equivalent of speed used in that video you don’t need 256 lpb. ‘Speed 1’ as used in that video converted to the new lpb in Renoise 2.0 equals to lpb of 24 
999 bpm and 256 = rediculous.
You can make similar sounding stuff with much slower scrolling. Also don’t let the number of patterns frighten you. Most of them (up to 90% usually) are cloned and then modified.
I’d say it’s about tempo 180, lpb 24.
How to break core: Just don’t give a shit.
According to the man himself it’s 430 bpm, speed 3 (lpb 8) . And I reckon I could make a pretty safe guess that the pattern length is 512…
