How To Control Different Instruments At The Same Time

Hi,
I’m not sure I’m even going to need this, but I think it might be useful.

Let’s say I have a renoise instrument for a drumkit and another one with, let’s say, just a sine wave. Then I have two midi controllers and I want to use one to play the drumkist and the other one for the sine wave.

Is there any way to do this? At the moment I know I can play the selected instrument only. Am I wrong?
