how to switch instrument envelope presets with automation ? or any preset ? thx
The internal instrument envelopes cannot be changed by automation nor effect command.
You can change sliders of VSTI instruments by using the automate device in the meta-device list.
maybe copy the 1 instrument a few times, make envelope changes to each and in the pattern notes change between instruments.

i’m doing patto’s tip right now. guess i just have to put in some more work.
but i fear it gets a bit hectic when i make like 12+ variations, it will be less intuitive to build the song as i go.
How about finding VST effect plugins that do as you desire and automate those?
The filters can also be done by the native filter2 plugin
The volume can be done by volume automation.
