How would i create a script to save all above settings in a Phrase ( ? )
Like creating an instrument library, of already tweaked basses and different sounds
I would like to create a library of beats, that’s easy to start working with on the fly when making music
sorry, i’m confused
if i have an instrument with samples, and that same instrument has phrases
i save the .xrni, and the samples and the phrases are there in the .xrni.
what am i missing?
Ohh, wow… you know what… i never realized the phrases are saved in the instruments… lol
Yeah, one thing though additionally… to save both the FX Setup - routings, in( side ) the mixer, associated with the sound/drum setup
So, like being able to reload a track, with Compressor settings, that’s curated for the Beat & Sounds in it… Also, like, let’s say you have a BassDrum & Clap… Have both EQ & Compress/etc Settings For Channel 1 for BassDrum, then alternate settings for Channel 2 for Clap, then Group ( FX ) Settings, for the Main Compressor/FX ( etc. ) For both… ( possibly even with Dual Groups Associated with both, let’s say you got the Clap going to Reverb, Side-Chained by the BD )
Anyhow, even more simpler ( without the SideChain ) would be cool being able to save, yet being able to save all of the above, i think would really give creative freedom many musicians are looking for
Same goes kind of for Saving Instruments, in regular Patterns… Just having the FX Setup & Routing( s - Groups etc and sidechains associated with the instruments ), allows for building some nice libraries ( like in Bitwig & Cubase and others )
I actually think that is the one thing, Renoise would really benefit from right now, making it the swiss army knife it is already built to be, in & for sound editing

hi, when you say “Channel 1” and “Channel 2” - are you talking about Renoise tracker channels (Track 01, Track 02) or Sample FX Chain Channels?
The Sample FX Chain Channels will be retained in .XRNI instrument, which is neat!
There are workarounds for the “.XRNI (Renoise Instrument) and .XRNT (Track DSP Device Settings” - i.e. loading and saving both, but that’s something where you need to work with 3rd party tooling.
it WOULD be neat if Renoise could have a .XRNIT or something (a sort of combo format) that had both the track and the instrument settings saved.
Yeah, that is actually neat… seems like i have to expand my views a bit… … wondering if there is a way then to save Group( ed ) FX for like sending an FX like Reverb and SideChain it from the BD in the same instrument
And yeah, kind of both the Track 01 and 02 etc. i think, setups like these are what many musicians would gravitate possibly to…
